Welcome to the SERCAL Board Election Page

SERCAL board and officer terms begin January 1 of each year. The current board vets and nominates a slate of candidates for open positions, and in Dec/Jan, we ask our members to vote for the confirmation of these candidates. All candidates commit to serving a 3-year term.

ALL MEMBERS VOTE TO ELECT OFFICERS — Geoff Smick for Treasurer — AS WELL AS AT-LARGE REPRESENTATIVES (Nina Omomo and Mando Valencia, both moving up from affiliates to voting members of the Board).

THERE ARE THREE SERCAL REGIONS and you will be asked to vote for regional candidates in the region you predominantly work/live in. For 2025, there is one renewing representative in the North Coast & High Desert (Geoff Smick) and two new representatives in the Central Coast & Valley (Joanna Tang and Chelsea Palisoc), and .

Region 1 | North Coast and High Deserts is comprised of Alameda, Contra Costa, Del Norte, Humboldt, Lassen, Marin, Mendocino, Modoc, Napa, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Shasta, Siskiyou, Solano, Sonoma, and Trinity counties

Region 2 | Central Coast and Valley is comprised of Alpine, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Fresno, Glenn, Kern, Kings, Lake, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Monterey, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Yolo, Sacramento, San Benito, San Joaquin, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, Sierra, Stanislaus, Sutter, Tehama, Tulare, Tuolumne, and Yuba counties

Region 3 | South Coast and Eastern Desert Lands is comprised of Imperial, Inyo, Los Angeles, Mono, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Ventura counties
